Kampoeng Nugie is located at Tista Village, the sub0regency of Abang, in Karangasem Bali. It should take approximately 2,5 drive by car through the Bypass to Candidasa in Karangasem, east part of Bali.

About Kampoeng Nugie

Kampoeng Nugie is just a brand new house-property consisting of 2 Main Bedroom, 2 children-rooms, open kitchen and bar area, a large open-air living-room.

The living room is large enough to cater 20 people in it. Relaxing in this living room, you will be overwhelmed of the green valley of  rice-terrace and farmers' garden of local product such as coconuts, tropicals wood-plants, fruit-gardens, etc. Eventhough the house is located just next to the main-road of Karangasem-Singaraja, the beauty of this scenery and it is actually the way how Balinese live should go from day to day.

Each of the bedrooms has one single bed of  200 x 200 cm, expect the children-rooms have smaller size which is 160x200 cm. The rooms are not equipped with  air-condition as the weather itself is fresh and cool enough to stay in or to relax. Besides, it is environmental-friendly and air-conditioned is not the way of living in Bali as in 1960's is all about.  We stress this out as Kampoeng Nugie is provided to guests  to experience not those things found in Kuta, Sanur, Nusadua, Candidasa, Lovina, or other tourist destination. Here, you will live in the village with the village people.
Each of the bedrooms are equipped with attached-bathroom. The master bedroom is with outdoor shower, whilst the other bedroom is with indoor shower. The children rooms are equipped with separate bathroom, hence, you will need to go out of the bedroom in order to go to the bathroom, but still it is inside the house-area. TV and Hi-Fi house appliance are provided for guests convenience.

Living in the House and Living in the Village

The house is maintained by butlers. The will be ready to assist you during their stay in the house.
The way of living in Bali is very simple. Wake up in the morning, tidy up bed, clean yourself, prepare everything for the day. This means you do not need servant help. However, nowadays, many-many Balinese Families have their servants, thus we provide butlers for you to assist you in the maintenance of the house, cleaning your uniforms, etc.

In this house you will be involved in the village activities, going to the market, buying food and drinks, cooking Balinese dishes, even involved in rice-paddy process.

In many ways you will see from the living-room, the local people interacting among others and sometimes they will say hello to you, even the do not know you.

On your free time, you could ask your butlers to assist you to have a gentle adventure trekking around the village, see how the village people live, cook their meal using dried wood and traditional stove of clay, taste rice, or just walking and watching birds, photo-taking...
If you wish you could also ask your butlers to arrange trekking activity to Lempuyang Temple, a sacred temple where local Hindus people must go for the ceremony of their ancestors.

During your stay here, you may also ask for special activities to develop your inner spiritual competencies, either Meditation and Healing course, Hypnotherapy course, or Course of Magician. Thus you live in Bali, you will experience the real Balinese way of live, at the same time you will get the extra competencies of Becoming a stage magician, or becoming a hypnotherapist for your family, friends, colleagues, to help them being cured from their insomnia, phobia, or drug-cholic.

Points of Interest

Diving : Just 15 minutes drive from Kampoeng Nugie, you will arrive at Amed, and another 20 minutes to arrive at Tulamben. Both sites are famous dive-site and regarded as those of the best in the world with under-water flora and fauna as well as ship-wreck coral view.

The guests who stay with Villa Nelayan will be provided with one unit of car/vehicle for use during their stay. The parking area is outside of the villa, but the villa has 24-hour security guard.

Operating with 8 staff including the senior butler the villa operates in clean, tidy, and charming manner.

In the evening the lighting combination with the interiors of the villa makes the romantic sense of villas in Bali.

The villa is perfect for those who seek away-from-busy towns, yet refresh and rejuvenate themselves before facing another business of the daily routines.

Villa Style

Encompassing an area of 1,300 m2, Villa Nelayan is featuring modern architecture, tastefully decorated in a minimalist style and equipped with all modern comfort and facilities. It is comprises of three buildings arranged in ‘U’ shape all overlooking the large T shape pool and the tropical garden. The main two storey building features the common and living area and two other one storey buildings comprises 4 bedrooms and their en suite bathroom. The villa is perfectly situated to take in the serenity of its surrounding.

General Description

The villa vicinity is accessible through a private road in the middle of gently sloping rice field. The main building is impressive, towering over the compound with large wooden Javanese style entrance. It is featuring large living, dining and TV area set along with the kitchen and guest lavatory on the ground floor. A sleek wooden stair adjacent to the dining area leads to the upper floor which consists of an open air mezzanine with alluring view to the surrounding greenery. Further, a small ‘bridge’ is connecting this area to a comfortable library. The four bedrooms are set in two different buildings in left and right side of the compound with a tropical garden in the middle, decorated with antique wooden boat. Similar in design, each bedroom is equipped with fine furniture and en-suite bathroom overlooking to the garden and to the pool. Lush outdoor space is featuring a tropical garden with “T” shaped pool including shallow level for children, fringed with a small lower lawn suitable for BBQ or outdoor dining. Pool chairs are provided on the wooden deck to relax on.   Ensuring the guest privacy; the staff quarter is located in a discreet distance of the living next to the parking area.

The Beach House is a fresh, absolutely-beachfront Bali rental villa, located on the sweeping Seminyak Beach and blessed with magnificent unobstructed views of the Indian Ocean. The revolutionary contemporary design is a study in perfect symmetry, presenting Palimanan stone walls, teakwood panelling, a crisp white decor, and massive floor-to-rooftop sliding glass doors to maximise the panoramic vista.

Accommodation and facilities include four air-conditioned master bedrooms, complete with audio and visual facilities and ensuite bathrooms, an open-plan living and dining area, a study, and a fully-equipped kitchen. This glamorous holiday villa in Bali is complemented by a flat beachside lawn with a 15-metre swimming pool, and poolside bale’-style relaxation pavilion that incorporates an extensive bar.

Three of the four ensuite bathrooms are open to the sky, while each bedroom boasts sliding glass doors opening onto a private balcony or terrace. Each luxurious king-size bed at The Beach House is oriented towards the beach ensuring that guests will be lulled to sleep by the tranquil rhythm of the breaking waves.

Bedrooms
The Beach House presents four master suites of equal importance, each furnished with luxurious built-in king size beds oriented towards the beach, and each boasting an indoor/outdoor bathroom. The white theme is complemented by white bedside lamps, built in cupboards, an ottoman and a floor rug, and each bedroom is equipped with air-conditioning, a satellite-channel TV and DVD player, safe deposit boxes, and a desk located behind the bed. Sliding glass doors open onto a Palimanan stone balcony or, in the case of the two ground floor bedrooms, onto a spacious terrace, each balcony or terrace is furnished with daybeds, affording spectacular coastline views stretching all the way down to Uluwatu on the Island’s southern tip. Guests will be lulled to sleep every night by the rhythmic sound of the waves.

Ensuite Bathrooms
Each ensuite bathroom boasts its own individual characteristics. Each is accessed via sliding glass doors and each is fashioned in cream terrazzo or creamy-white Palimanan with a wall-length vanity unit, crafted in rough tumble marble, complete with wall mirrors and twin washbasins. Each is fitted with a rainshower, a bathtub and toilet. One of the upstairs bathrooms features a romantic open rooftop setting for bathing under the stars in a huge oval terrazzo tub shielded by bulrushes. The other upstairs bathroom presents an indoor bathtub positioned next to sliding glass windows that can be fully opened to create a semi-open air experience. Both of the downstairs bathrooms are set within small walled gardens, complete with towering palm trees. One offers a bathtub positioned at a lower level, sheltered by a roof and surrounded by timber decking with a rainshower above the tub; the other has a feature tub and a rainshower open to the sky.

Living Room
The living room is located at the front of the house to maximise the ocean view. This splendid inner atrium is flooded with natural light, creating the illusion of the exterior being part of the interior. It extends the full height of the building with a massive cathedral window in the form of floor-to-roof sliding glass doors that can be fully opened for semi al fresco tropical living, or closed for cosy air-conditioned comfort. The room is furnished with a deeply cushioned L-shaped sofa and ottoman, a chair and footstool, a shag pile rug, a glass topped coffee table, standard lamps and a long sideboard, while colourful artwork adorns the walls. Facing west, this room indulges guests with an armchair view of Bali’s legendary sunsets.

Dining Room
A small step leads up from the living area into the open-plan, air-conditioned dining room, which is furnished with a grand dining table with twelve upholstered chairs. Hi-tech amenities include a surround sound system and a computer corner complete with WiFi internet access. To one side of the dining area is a bar with marble work surfaces and a white service counter. There is also a guest washroom and shower on the ground floor.

Kitchen
An immaculate white kitchen with stainless steel appliances is tucked away behind the bar, conveniently close to the dining area.

Study Room
A terrazzo floating staircase leads up to a U-shaped timber clad mezzanine reminiscent of a gallery, extending around three sides of the atrium, with a study room positioned in the centre. This cosy air-conditioned room is furnished with segmented sofas, an ottoman, a shag pile rug, a set of three occasional tables, a lazy chair, standard lamps and a 51" satellite-channel TV/DVD player.

Bale-Gazebo
The poolside relaxation ’bale’ is an open-sided pavilion with a built in daybed and a bar with a sliding door. Cooled by sea breezes and a ceiling fan, this is a wonderful spot to chill out to the sound of the ocean and enjoy late afternoon cocktails with daily front row seats for Bali’s breathtaking sunsets.

Pool & Garden
The neat, flat garden literally spills out onto the beach unbroken by borders and fences, yet well protected by the villa’s security team. The flat lawn is punctuated with three towering coconut palms and two fragrant frangipani trees. The enticing 15 x 5 metre, infinity-edge swimming pool is lined with rustic Java stone and bordered by a timber deck.
